Absolute Distance Measurement (ADM): High-precision laser ADMs provide faster data feedback than previous generations, with a data acquisition rate of 1kHz. This results in faster measurement data and denser point clouds.
iVision™ 8MP Camera: This camera is an improved version of previous infrared cameras, offering better target selection and a wide-angle fast auto-lock feature. This function allows for quick recovery of lost beams and is easy to use in hard-to-reach areas for measurements. The camera also supports livestreaming.
“AI-enabled” GPUs: Traditional CPUs have been replaced with AI-powered graphics processing units (GPUs), enabling faster data and image processing for instant results.

Compact and Lightweight: The iLT weighs only 4.9kg (including battery), a 50% reduction in weight compared to the previous Radian model. Its compact size (330mm x 152mm x 152mm) allows it to be carried in a small backpack and taken on airplanes or high-speed trains.

Fully Integrated Device: The iLT has a built-in controller and Wi-Fi, allowing for completely wireless operation. This reduces setup time and allows measurements in tighter spaces without danger.

Battery operated: The device can measure continuously for up to 4 hours with a hot-swappable battery, and an additional external battery can extend the measurement time. According to a source, the battery life can last up to 8 hours.

Two-level design: The two-level structure (instead of one level) allows for the flexible use of various accessories.

Environmental error compensation: The integrated weather station on the device ensures accuracy under various operating conditions, from -10ºC to 45ºC.
Accessories and Software

iProbe: This is API’s new accessory, a handheld tactile probe with a convenient handle and flexible buttons. iProbe works exclusively with iLT, providing a low-cost option for measuring blind spots and deep holes without moving the tracker.

Accessory Compatibility: iLT is compatible with all Radian Laser Tracker accessories, including vProbe, iScan3D, and i360.

MeasurePro API Software: This software is designed for complete automation, capable of controlling iLT, 9D LADAR, Radian, i360, industrial robots, and other elements of the automation cell from a single location. It has a unique simulation environment, allowing for the automatic creation of inspection paths from CAD data. MeasurePro can display point cloud data in real time and perform geometric analysis, creating a digital twin of the measured part.

Integration with third-party software: API’s iM device has been integrated with all major third-party software programs, including Metrologic, Polyworks, and Spatial Analyzer.
